"Isolation is a Dream Killer"

Dream Working

Forming a trusted partnership is difficult. Trying to engage with people whom have no interest in talking with us can dampen our motivation to work with others. The Idea of working with random people seems impossible to some. Within reason, people's personalities do get in the way of progress, many missed calls occur due to estranged feelings or misinterpreted texts lead to uncalled for arguments. There's no telling why people don't all get along when working together, it's just the way humans are.

How do we get anything done ... ?

We have Builders; people who create ideas and other wonderful things with resilience, regardless of how people think or feel about the work. Builders start with a vision, create a plan, build a team, and they start molding that vision into existence. It's a great feeling to start a project and then finish it with everyone on the same page. Congratulations to anyone who's done this in their past, Bridge Builders respect people's resilience to be focused in order to attain their goals. With that said, this page is going to list off some vernaculars for you to consider as your base layer to establish principle, purpose and vision for your new DAO. We hope that BBD teams can incubate awesome friendships, long lasting projects and inspirational motivations for others to join the effort.

👥 Team Work

What makes a team a 'great' team?

🗣 Communication

It's important to be vulnerable with others. In order to grow, we must trim off the bad branches 🌳

We might not be aware of what we are doing wrong; we must be open to criticism to learn from our mistakes to make others the focus of our attention instead of ourselves.

'Listening' and remaining 'focused' are synonymous in this respect. Pay close attention to what others have to say, even if we disagree. Consider people's input to be valid, regardless of how we interpret another person's level of confidence. We mistakingly dismiss people because many people have not had the opportunity to be heard. Take the time to listen to the team communicate for themselves first, and then respond; this will take the project far.

Responding back with specification rather than quickness is sometimes best. Have you ever heard of the phrase, "Keep it simple stupid"? This is what we mean by being specific. It's okay to take the time to be succinct and careful with the things we say and how we say it. It's very nice when people bring up an opinion or suggestion of theirs in a timely manner. this type of behavior respects the groups time. "The quiet one's are the deadliest". Thoughtful participants are valued for their opinion very often, as long as they are willing to participate.

Communication requires participation. If you were the type who'd rather not raise their hand in class, then project leaders will not know how to work with you if they don't understand the way you think. To be understood, one must understand how to communicate thoughts. To get deep for a moment, it's not our fault if fear is in the way of our ability to reason with others. Just be aware that people may need a helping hand and plenty of time too acclimate to their anxieties to open up. It's better to be understanding than judgemental of others, so please be patient and be kind.
